A Cupboard of Life
My introduction to film photography was casual, driven by fascination with the out there world becoming inside
of the photograph. The fracturing, dislocating vision provided by the camera led me to question my ordinary perception; from what is physically there to what I subjectively perceive. I aim to expand this individuality into a broader analysis.
Grasping this vast reality through images of present states and discontinued sums in space and time, I delve into the notion of everyday occurrences. These are characterized by rhythms in temporal aspects of human existence, such as daily routines and weekly schedules, as well as spatial rhythms found in homes, neighborhoods, and cities, along with the cyclical rhythms of nature. My goal is to explore their interrelations from various perspectives, aiming to better understand the rhythms, patterns, and meanings that structure lived experiences.
